The first episode of The Big Bang Theory aired on October 24, 2007, and it quickly became one of the most popular shows on television. The show has been nominated for over 50 Emmy Awards and won the Outstanding Comedy Series award in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
